Clockify is a project management tool with a strong focus on organizing and tracking hours. The challenge was to improve usability and create a more cohesive brand identity that felt intuitive and trustworthy for busy professionals.
My goal was to design an interface that simplified time tracking while building a scalable design system of components, character styles, and interactions. Alongside UI/UX improvements, I also refreshed the brand identity—establishing new logos, colors, and iconography to unify the experience across the product.
I began by mapping out a sitemap to clarify the overall structure and ensure key workflows, like tracking hours and managing projects, were easy to follow. This step helped surface gaps in navigation and gave stakeholders a clear view of how the application would scale.
From there, I created low-fidelity wireframes to quickly explore layouts and test usability early. These sketches made it possible to refine functionality, simplify complex flows, and align the team on a direction before investing in high-fidelity design.
I created a design system that established clear typography styles, button patterns, colors, and iconography. The goal was to provide consistency across every interaction, making the interface feel unified and easy to use.
By codifying these styles, the system not only strengthened Clockify’s brand identity but also gave developers and designers a shared foundation to build from—ensuring scalability and reducing friction in handoff.
The final execution brought Clockify’s platform to life by applying the design system across layouts, color, typography, and iconography. The result was a modern, cohesive interface that strengthened the brand identity while making core tasks, like tracking hours and managing projects, more intuitive.
By unifying styles and patterns, the product not only felt visually consistent but also reduced cognitive load for users, improving efficiency and engagement across the platform.
